Honda Manufacturing Ghana (HMG) recently celebrated a big achievement by commencing car production plant in Tema, Ghana. This is only the second car production plant of its kind in Africa, with the first one being in Nigeria. Honda is showing its dedication to the growing automotive market in the region.

Production Details

The plant is starting with the ability to make 500 cars each year. They will be using SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) assembly, which means they will put together cars using parts that are imported in kits. The first car they are making is the HR-V small SUV, and production began in December 2023.
